Our Leaders

Richard and Debbie Thomas

Richard is married to Debbie and they have three older children. Richard works full time in the church as team leader and also has wider responsibilities for churches in the U.K and abroad. He is utterly unable to do his job without Debbie's care - for him and lots of other people! He, Jim, Alex and Jon are currently church elders.

Jim and Josephine Harper

Jim is married to Josephine and they have two children. Jim works full time for the church taking responsibility for much of day to day life at Hope. Jim also runs an annual camp for people with life controlling issues called "Encounter". Josephine is key leader for our childrens work and takes much responsibility for implementing our safeguarding policy and keeping our database up to date.

Dan and Diane Spiers

Dan is married to Diane, and they have three children. Dan works part time for Hope Church serving as Administrator and also runs his own electrical business. He and Diane run our marriage course periodically.

Alex and Deema Davidson

Alex is married to Deema and they have two children. Alex leads the welcome team where he and Deema take responsibility to help new people to settle into the life of Hope. He is also involved in helping set up a project to help vulnerable people find employment.

Brian and Pat Bevins

Brian is married to Pat and they have one son Ben and three grandchildren. Brian takes particular responsibilities for pastoral care and small group leaders, he and Pat also run a foundations course to help Christians get the basics right . Brian has retired from decorating and loves knocking on doors to tell people about Jesus.

Jon and Nicola Davidson

Jon is married to Nicola and they have two children. Jon takes responsibility for our worship team, teaches some Sundays and carries some pastoral responsibilities with Nicola. Jon works for an energy supplier.

God has said we are to be a door of hope for many to come through and, like the church in Antioch, to be characterised by an emphasis on the grace of God.
